Throughout the year, ZOOM offers a comprehensive speed training program that is the perfect compliment to any school's strength and conditioning program. Attention is given to adequate rest and recovery based on each athlete's school training schedule. At the same time, our focus will be on improving running mechanics, increasing stride length and stride frequency, as well as developing hip girdle strength, core strength, hamstring strength and overall flexibility. Programs can start at any time throughout the year. One tip is to work backwards from the date that you want to be finished-this will help determine the optimal starting date for each athlete.
We provide the dynamic integration of speed, power and agility. Our programs are based on research of how the body responds to training stress—neurologically, metabolically and biomechanically—so that you can become a more efficient athlete with a reduced risk of injury.
We utilize the Super Treadmill to improve athletes' running mechanics—knee drive, foot and hip position, leg extension and symmetry. Scientific research shows that incline treadmill running recruits the muscles responsible for forward acceleration at a level two to three times higher than level running at the same stride frequency, which helps you produce more power during each stride, during both push-off and recovery.
We provide an optimal training environment, combining proprietary equipment, properly placed mirrors, and qualified trainers. Individualized training administered in small groups of four athletes fosters a personal program with competitive support and proper progression.
